EMD® UV Lamp for Thin-Layer Chromatography

Ultraviolet (UV) light is an electromagnetic radiation, with wavelenths below 400 nm. The UV lamp emits visible light, but also ultraviolet (UVC and UVB) wavelengths around 254 nm, which are used to detect fluorescence in laboratory applications such as chromatography, microbiology or other areas. In contrary to lamps with wavelength filters and very narrow spectrum, this lamp has a broader spectrum for quick analyses or screening purposes. Additionally a small flash lamp is built in, allowing orientation in dark rooms.

Specifications:
• Wavelength:
A) Ultraviolet spectrum around 254 nm for laboratory applications,
B) Visible light / Flash lamp
• Output: 4 Watt
• Dimensions: 16.1 x 2.4 x 5.5 cm
• Weight: 99.8 grams
• Power supply: Four AA 1.5V Batteries (included)
