Hydrophobic Polycarbonate (PCTE) Membranes for chemotaxis and venting applications. Hydrophobic polycarbonate membrane filters are identical to the standard PCTE filters except they are manufactured without the wetting agent. These filters are designed for chemotaxis (cellular migration toward a chemical stimulus) and venting applications. Chemotaxis is used extensively in the study of the immune reaction mechanism. The smooth surface and cylindrical pores allow rapid cell migration and reduced incubation time.
