Nitric Acid, Redistilled is a strong and highly corrosive mineral acid. Primarily used as a reagent, the pure compound is colorless and used for nitration, typically to an organic molecule. It is also used as a strong oxidizing agent. The difference between Redistilled Nitric Acid and Double Distilled Nitric Acid (N1078) is that Redistilled has a maximum residue after ignition level of 100 PPM versus 10 PPM for the Double Distilled.
