products with the largest selection of USP-NF-FCC chemicals for the manufacturing of food, drug,

business and an industry leader with a very ambitious growth plan. The Facilities Supervisor will
be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of our facilities, with a particular
emphasis on HVAC systems. This role ensures that our facilities are safe, efficient, and compliant
with all regulatory standards.


An Exciting Opportunity:

Spectrum Chemical is seeking a dynamic Facilities Supervisor to join their New Brunswick, New
Jersey team. We are seeking a hands-on Supervisor who assigns work orders to other technicians
while completing their own. Oversee the plant sanitation program developing, implementing,
and monitoring cleaning practices for the building, grounds, equipment, and utensils.


Maintenance Duties:
  • Strictly adhere to Safety and GMP SOPs and perform related documentation clearly and
    legibly
  • Responsible for communicating with outside contractors and onsite inspections.
  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of HVAC systems to ensure optimal
    performance and compliance with industry standards.
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenses related to facility maintenance.
  • Ensure work orders are performed properly with timely completion utilizing prescribed
    Maintenance software.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment before calling in an outside contractor
  • Train and mentor maintenance staff, promoting a culture of safety and continuous
    improvement.
  • Develop a PM plan and conduct regular preventative maintenance to evaluate
    equipment reliability and associated risk of failure.
  • Responsible for electrical maintenance including, but not limited to, replacement/ repair
    of fixtures, wall switches and outlets, bulbs, tubes, ballasts, sockets, fuses, minor
    appliances, cords.
  • Perform minor plumbing (replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging
    or drains, adding lines etc.)
  • Proficient in light welding repair or fixturing.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required installation, maintenance,
    and repair.
  • Respond to emergencies during and after hours to resolve immediate.
  • Perform floor work such as construction, repair, mopping, waxing etc.
  • Lead company beautification projects such as landscaping and areas of improvement.
  • Perform forklift visual inspection such as water, brakes, hydraulic lines, etc.
  • Perform fire extinguisher inspection.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct supervision of 2 facilities technicians


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential
    duty satisfactorily. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
    simultaneously
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, with at least 3 years in a
    supervisory role. This is a hands on role. Must be ready to work along the team.
  • Hands-on electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding experience.
  • Able to read electrical diagrams, schematics
  • Comfortable working with high voltage 480v, 277v and 240v 3phase
  • Experience in refrigeration, HVAC and facility maintenance.
  • Basic oral and written communication skills
  • Computer knowledge and Excel understanding of charts, a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and
    troubleshooting
  • EPA 608 universal technician licensed

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability
to write simple correspondence. Bilingual is a plus


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or
oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized
situations.

  • HVAC certified
  • Electrical certificate preferred
  • Forklift driving certificate
