Caframo 4 in. Pitched Turbine Blade
A truly versatile blade, lab scale version of the pitched blade turbine widely used at production scale in cosmetics, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, mining, and coatings markets. Creates combined axial and radial flow well suited for liquid blending, heat transfer, solids suspension, and applications requiring moderate shear not provided by a propeller. Creates a vortex desired for dissolving powders or aeration. Technicians can control the amount of axial flow by reducing the off-bottom clearance. The 45° pitch of the blades enables effective up-pumping with reversible mixing. Identified advantages include getting axial flow when mixing more viscous liquids. Composed of electropolished 316L stainless steel. Best suited for use with Caframo's 1540 and 1850 overhead stirrers. Compatible with all Caframo shafts (available separately). Set screws included.
