Class 1 Electronic Balance Individual Metric Weights, Straight Cylindrical, for all necessary testing, calibration and adjustment of electronic scales and balances. All ANSI/ASTM E617 class weights meet or exceed specifications for tolerance, construction, surface finish, and magnetism as outlined in ANSI/ASTM E617.
Made of two pieces of stainless steel alloy, with a cavity that allows for adjustment during future calibrations. Within the cavity there is adjusting material, typically the same material from which the weight is made. The cavity is sealed during the production process to ensure the stability of the weight. Electronic Balance Weights are cylindrical in shape and flat on top to stack easy on center.
To safeguard Electronic Balance Weights, polycarbonate cases are provided with weights 10 g through 5 kg. The cases feature a custom insert, bumper, and locking lid to assure weights are held securely within the case and avoid movement. A nylon glove is provided with each weight.
Straight Cylinder Weights - Weights from 10 g through 600 g are machined as straight cylinders with the adjusting cavity opening in the bottom of the weight.

Can be used as a reference standard in calibrating other weights and is appropriate for calibrating high-precision analytical balances with a readability as low as 0.1 mg to 0.01 mg.
