Description

Citric Acid, Anhydrous, Reagent, ACS, is also known as 2-Hydroxy-1,2,3-propanetricarboxylic Acid. As a weak organic acid, it is considered a natural antioxidant preservative. In pharmaceutical preparations, citric acid also plays a more active role by acting as a chelating agent to bind trace metals.
