Trifluoroacetic Acid, Biochemical Grade is a colorless liquid that has a sharp smell and is an organofluorine compound. It is an acid that is roughly 34,000 times stronger than acetic acid and is a synthetic organic reagent for removal the t-butoxycarbonyl protecting group in peptide synthesis.
