Potassium Chloride, Crystal, Reagent, ACS occurs naturally as the mineral sylvite and is a metal halide salt. In its pure form it is odorless and is a colorless, virtreous crystal in appearance. It is used in the medicinally to treat hypokalemia and in the agricultural industry as part of a fertilizer known as muriate of potash, increasing plants' potassium intake. As an ACS grade Reagent, Spectrum Chemical manufactured potassium chloride is used as the quality standard against which other substances are graded and has met the toughest regulatory standards for quality and pureness.
