Pyridine, Technical is a flammable, colorless liquid that is soluble in water and has a particularly unpleasant fish like smell; miscible with nearly all organic solvents and it is weakly basic. It is used throughout the world as a polar, basic, low reactive solvent and as a base for condensation reactions. It is also used a industrially in the production of dyes and rubber.
