Triphenyltetrazolium Chloride, Reagent is a white crystalline powder that is water soluble as well as soluble in ethanol and acetone. It is used as a redox indicator that is most often used in experiments of biochemical nature, especially to indicate cellular respiration. Its reagent grade means this is the highest quality commercially available for this chemical and that the American Chemical Society has not officially set any specifications for this material.
