Sodium Chromate, Anhydrous, is a chemical compound that is a solid and has a yellow color. It is water-soluble and has strong oxidizing properties. When mixed with water it creates a weak basic solution. It is mainly used to inhibit corrosion in the petroleum industry as well as being used to determine the volume of red blood cells in diagnostic pharmaceuticals.
