Phenylethyl Alcohol, Reagent is a widely naturally occurring aromatic alcohol that is found in a range of essential oils including rose, orange blossom, champaca and others. It has a pleasing floral odor and is a completely colorless liquid that is slightly water-soluble and miscible with ethanol. Commonly used in the perfume and cosmetic industry it is also used as an antimicrobial in pharmaceutical preparations. The USP grade indicates it is graded suitable for personal care, cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications.
