Barium Carbonate, Purified is an inorganic white crystal substance used to control the chromate to sulfate ratio in chromium electroplating baths. It is also used as a glazing agent in ceramics and in the creation of bricks and rat poison. The Purified Grade describes chemicals of good quality where there are no official standards and is normally limited to inorganic chemicals.
