Also known as Sulfuric Acid Zinc Salt Monohydrate, this chemical occurs in nature as the mineral zinkosite and is a source of soluble zinc ions. Presenting as a white or colorless rhombohedral crystalline powder, it is soluble in water, methanol and glycerol. Care should be taken in handling as there is risk of serious damage to eyes. It is also harmful if swallowed. Store at room temperature and away from oxidizing agents.
