This alcohol, also known as Acetonechloroform Hemihydrate, presents as a white to slightly pale-yellow crystalline powder. It is known to be soluble in ethanol and very slightly soluble in water. Store in a cool and dark place and at ambient temperatures. 1,1,1-Trichloro-2-methyl-2-propanol is incompatible with oxidizing agents. This chemical is harmful if swallowed and causes skin irritation in addition to serious eye irritation.
