Also known as TEAC or Etamon chloride, this white to light yellow crystalline powder. Hygroscopic and soluble in water to almost transparency, this potassium-selective ion channel blocker is also soluble in ethanol, chloroform and acetone and can be stored at ambient temperatures. It is stable, though incompatible with strong oxidizing agents and requires protection from moisture. It is recommended that Tetraethylammonium Chloride be handled under argon.
