This Alkaloid, also known as (6R)-6-[(5S)-5,6,7,8-Tetrahydro-6-methyl-1,3-dioxolo[4,5-g]lisoquinolin-5-yl]furo[3,4-e]-1,3-benzodioxol-8(6H)-one, presents as a pale yellow solid. It is soluble in Benzene, Chloroform, DMSO and Ethyl Acetate. Store in a tightly closed container in a dry and well-ventilated place. Store under inert gas. This substance is air sensitive, light sensitive and stable under recommended storage conditions. (+)-Bicuculline is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents as well as strong bases. This is not a hazardous substance.
