This sesquiterpene presents as a transparent yellow, grapefruit-smelling liquid. It is soluble in alcohol and insoluble in water. Store in a tightly closed container in a dry and well-ventilated place. Containers which are opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. This substance is stable under recommended storage conditions. (+)-Valencene is found naturally in Valencia oranges and is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents. This chemical is not a hazardous substance.
