This chiral reagent, also known as (-)-Stilbenediamine, presents as an off-white to pale-beige solid. It is slightly soluble in DMSO, ethanol and methanol. Store in a tightly closed container in a dry and well-ventilated place. (1S,2S)-(-)-1,2-Diphenylethylenediamine is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents. This chemical causes skin irritation, serious eye irritation and may cause respiratory irritation.
