This amine, also known as (1R,2R)-(-)-Diaminocyclohexane, presents as a white to off-white solid. It is slightly soluble in aqueous acid, chloroform and methanol. Store in a tightly closed container in a dry and well-ventilated place. (1R,2R)-(-)-1,2-Cyclohexanediamine is incompatible with oxidizing agents and is air sensitive. This chemical causes severe skin burns and serious eye damage.
