This chemical compound, also known as (S)-4-Isopropenyl-cyclohexene-1-carboxaldehyde, presents as a yellow herbal-smelling liquid. It is soluble in alcohol and should be stored in a tightly closed container in a dry and well-ventilated place. (-)-Perillaldehyde is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents, oxidizing agents and strong bases. It can cause both skin and eye irritation.
