This aliphatic diamine, also known as 1,3-propanediamine, presents as a colorless to very pale-yellow liquid. It is soluble in miscible in ether, alcohols, benzene, chloroform, and water. Store in a cool, dark and well-ventilated place, under inert gas and protected from moisture. 1,3-Diaminopropane is incompatible with oxidizing agents and should not be stored or handled in their vicinity.
