Also known as Disodium Selenate Decahydrate, this white crystalline solid is soluble in water and incompatible with strong oxidizing agents. Highly toxic and possibly fatal if inhaled, swallowed or absorbed through skin, Sodium Selenate Decahydrate should be stored in a tightly sealed container and in a secure area that is cool, dry and dark. Storage at ambient temperatures is appropriate but care should be taken to protect it from incompatible materials, ignition sources and untrained individuals. When introduced to fire, this chemical may produce irritating, corrosive and/or toxic gases and effects after contact or inhalation may be delayed.
