Also known as Disodium Hydrogen Phosphate Dodecahydrate or Disodium Phosphate, the dodecahydrate is made up of translucent crystals or granules that readily lose five water molecules on exposure to air at ambient temperature. Sodium Phosphate Dibasic Dodecahydrate melts at 35°C when the salt contains all water of crystallization and loses all water at 100°C. It is hygroscopic, so keep the container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place.
