N-Acetyl-D-galactosamine-Separopore 4B-CL is an agarose affinity chromatography matrix used to purify carbohydrate-binding proteins such as membrane receptors, and also lectins with affinity to N-Acetyl-galactosamine. N-Acetyl-D-galactosamine-Separopore 4B-CL has been used to study periodontal disease and to facilitate the design of potent small-molecule ice recrystallization inhibitors. N-Acetyl-D-galactosamine-Separopore 4B-CL has also been used to demonstrate a molecular shuttle between extracellular and cytoplasmic space allowing for monitoring of GAG biosynthesis. -
