Benzalkonium Chloride, 17 Percent (w/v), Solution is also referred to as BZK is an aqueous solution for handling purposes. It varies in color, from colorless to a pale yellow and has an almond-like smell and bitter taste. Its uses vary from disinfectant to microbial corrosion inhibition and can also be used as an algaecide. Ungraded products supplied by Spectrum are indicative of a grade suitable for general industrial use or research purposes and typically are not suitable for human consumption or therapeutic use.
