Ion-Pair Reagents for HPLC

Ion Pairing Reagents are used as HPLC mobile phase additives which allow the separation of ionic and highly polar substances on reversed phase HPLC columns. The addition of Ion pairing reagents in mobile phase as a counter ion of an opposite charge, enables the sample species to form neutral ion pair which readily interact with the reverse phase packing and permits a clean separation.
