Orotic Acid, Anhydrous (O2142) 25 KG
Orotic acid, formerly known as Vitamin B13, is now not recognized as a vitamin, but as a product of intestinal bacteria. Orotic acid is utilized in the body and through nutritional supplements as a mineral carrier, increasing solubility and absorption of minerals such as calcium, potassium, and magnesium through the digestive tract. The nucleic acid backbone of orotic acid, chemically known as pyrimidinecarboxylic acid, also serves as a precursor to genetic material and is an important intermediate in folic acid metabolism.
